Trust is of utmost importance in organizations that work with high-risk clients. Workers need to know and feel that they can trust their leaders to hold them while they, in turn, create a holding environment for their clients. This presentation explores the notion of how trusting begot trustworthiness in organizations and facilitates a parallel process in teams, individual workers, and their clients. It discusses the organizational-management tool known as the RASCI Responsibility Matrix and how it assigns where responsibility lay in an organization while simultaneously creating accountability. It also examines the clinical model of Adaptive Mentalization-Based Integrative Treatment (AMBIT), Ellenhorn’s firsthand experience building trust-filled small teams, and how these two methods utilize collaboration, increases feelings of competence, and demonstrates effectiveness in building trust at all organizational levels.
