Addictive and Dual Diagnosis Issues

We work with individuals suffering the co-occurring, or dual diagnosis disorders of addiction and psychiatric impairment. Our team follows the evidence-based best practice model for serving such individuals The most recent evidence, from a project supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), points treaters working with people with co-occurring disorders towards a specific kind of treatment called Integrated Dual-Disorder Treatment (IDDT). Our PACT team uses the IDDT model. This allows us to serve people with severe co-occurring symptoms. And it makes us different from many other dual diagnosis treatments, which typically can only serve people who are either stable psychiatrically, or fully committed to their sobriety.
