Dr. Marni Chanoff is particularly interested in understanding the relationship between biology and psychological processes in order to help her clients attend to their illness and lead satisfying and productive lives. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine with Research Distinction and was named the most distinguished graduate in psychiatry. She completed her residency at Harvard's MGH/McLean Psychiatry Training Program where she received the Mel Kayce Award for Excellence in Psychotherapy. She then joined the clinical faculty at McLean Hospital as Psychiatrist-In-Charge in the Schizophrenia and Bipolar Program, where she worked until joining Prakash Ellenhorn in 2011. She has completed fellowships at The MGH Center for Psychoanalytic Studies and Harvard University Health Services. She is on the faculty at Harvard Medical School and has a private practice in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. Dr. Chanoff has also practiced and taught Integrative Psychiatry with mind-body approaches over the last several years and was certified as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor by the Kripalu School of Ayurveda in June 2016, which qualifies her to further integrate the practices of both Western and Eastern medicine in order to help her clients maximize the success of their recovery. Dr. Chanoff has been a yoga practitioner her entire adult life and integrates all of her professional trainings into her personal life.
