Lisa practices a holistic approach to treatment by integrating mental health with nutrition, exercise, complementary therapies and medicine. Lisa graduated from Northeastern University with a master’s degree in counseling psychology and a concentration in culture, gender and political psychology. She is certified in cognitive behavioral interventions from the Boston University School of Social Work. Lisa also has a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and nutritional science from the University of Vermont. During her graduate internship at Wentworth Institute of Technology as a mental health counselor to the student body, Lisa created and conducted stress management and reduction workshops for students and faculty. Recently, she completed a Mind Body Stress Reduction (MBSR) course created by Jon Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts. Lisa partners with her clients to pursue their own mind-body interests and goals. Personally, Lisa has practiced yoga for almost 20 years and relies on this practice as an integral part of her own self-care.
